What Do the Movie Cozy Dens and the Feeling of Safety in the Company Have in Common?

What is a vivid example of the absence of psychological safety (PS) in Czech cinema? Well, for instance – “You gasped – and deny it!” from “Cozy Dens.”

You know the scene; there’s no need to describe it. I always think about what Jiří Kodet would have learned about his movie wife and what better decisions they could have made about her illness if they had a higher level of PS.

Measuring PS is one thing and understanding its importance; the other is raising its level. It’s like the difference between science and art. 😊

According to me, the key is the particular importance of PS in change. We deal with many things when we are going through a change that we have never dealt with before, and we need the assurance that mistakes will not be punished, and questions, feedback, and one’s own opinion are welcome.

I have just completed a webinar on psychological safety (how to measure it and how to improve it) at ORLEN Unipetrol. Would you like to explore this topic in your company as well, helping not only in times of transformation? Reach out to us, and together we will come up with something.
