I have a soft spot for the Eduzměna Foundation because it aims to change the functioning of education in a pilot project in the Kutná Hora region.
The goal of the workshop was to look at key skills that schools should impart for practical use, not only from a corporate perspective. In my opinion, these areas include:
- Leading to the understanding that freedom goes hand in hand with responsibility.
We often demand freedom but without responsibility. The trick is that only through responsibility do we deserve freedom; without it, we don’t have it.
- Learning to unlearn and relearn
Today’s child at the age of 10/15 practically understands the basic principles of how the world works, and from that age onwards, they will spend their entire lives unlearning and relearning.
- Creating personal values and a mission
In the past, a value system was imposed on us by various regimes. Today, I sometimes feel that we suffer from a certain ‘value nihilism.’ That’s why it’s necessary to create our values and understand that the strength of a value is determined by what we are willing to sacrifice for it.
- Learning to be happy
This crucial aspect for today’s time is rarely taught. For example, the Danish education system aims for the happiness of the child.
If you are involved in the field of children’s education and want to learn more about the topic or perhaps organize your workshop, contact us, and together we will certainly come up with something.
